SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA – Celebrating its 6th Anniversary, Docent Brewing announces details of the 2023 Field Trip Fest, located at the Reata Park and Event Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The event will be held March 11, 2023 and tickets are on sale now.
Headlining Field Trip Fest will be backporch folk rock band Jamestown Revival from Texas, who spent 2022 touring with Willie Nelson, and Zach Person, Austin’s fast-rising blues guitarist. The event will feature two alternating stages of music, including Orange County favorites Robert Jon & The Wreck, Moonsville Collective, Ted Z & The Wranglers, Victoria Bailey and Pio Gabriel.
Docent Brewing is San Juan Capistrano’s first brewery and public house and has received some of the top industry awards, including the 2022 Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival. Docent loves to support local businesses and they will hand-pick 40+ craft breweries to provide samples of their beers from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. In addition, Heritage BBQ will be on hand, one of South Orange County’s top restaurants, as well as several food trucks, local vendors and three Docent Lounges.
“This will be our third Field Trip Fest and the goal for 2023 was to elevate the experience for attendees - more breweries, more food offerings, two stages of music, Docent Lounges, and we added a VW Bus Show,” says Brian Hendon, Co-Founder of Docent Brewing. “We love San Juan Capistrano and can’t wait to show off our new layout at Reata Park.”

GA tickets are $59, Early-Entry GA tickets are $69 (one hour early for beer-sampling) and Docent Lounge Passes are $89, which includes access to 3 lounge areas in the venue, access to a stagefront viewing pit, VIP restrooms, separate Docent sampling stations, and more.

Opened in 2014, Reata Park is an 18-acre public space adjacent to the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park with tree-lined walkways, several event spaces, and one of the largest native plant gardens in California.

Included with your ticket will be complimentary beer sampling from Docent Brewing and over 40 So. California breweries (1:00 – 4:30 p.m.). Doors open at 12:00 p.m. for those who upgrade to the Early Entry ticket.
A new addition for 2023: the VW Bus Show, produced by the South County Bus Society. Browse through 80 classic Volkswagen buses as well as a handful of eclectic cars. Free with admission.
Three Docent Lounges with added amenities, a large food stand from Heritage BBQ, selected food trucks and vendors, and free bike parking.
Field Trip Fest encourages attendees to ride bikes, as the venue is connected to the San Juan Creek Trail, or buy parking passes in advance.
