2024 OVERVIEW

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA – Celebrating its 7th Anniversary, Docent Brewing announces details of the 2024 Field Trip Fest, located at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The event will be held on March 30, 2024, and tickets are on sale now.

Field Trip Fest will be headlined by two unique artists: the laid-back soul guitarist DONOVAN FRANKENREITER and honky-tonk siren NIKKI LANE. The event will feature two alternating stages of music, including Alabama folk outlaw Early James, plus Orange County favorites Robert Jon & The Wreck, Eric Roebuck, Leroy From The North, and Alice Wallace.

Docent Brewing is San Juan Capistrano’s first brewery and public house and has received some of the top industry awards, including 3 Gold Medal at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival. Docent loves to support local businesses and they will hand-pick 40+ craft breweries to provide samples of their beers from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. In addition, Heritage BBQ will be on hand, one of South Orange County’s top restaurants, as well as several food trucks, local vendors, and the Docent Lounge, exclusive for Docent Lounge ticketholders only.

“This will be our fourth Field Trip Fest and the goal for 2023 was to elevate the experience for attendees with more breweries, more food offerings, two stages of music, Docent Lounge, and a VW Bus Show,” says Brian Hendon, Co-Founder of Docent Brewing. “We love San Juan Capistrano and can’t wait to show off our new layout at the Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park.”

GA tickets are $69, Early-Entry GA tickets are $89 (one hour early for beer-sampling) and Docent Lounge Passes are $129, which include access to the lounge area in the venue, access to a stage front viewing pit, VIP restrooms, separate Docent sampling stations, and more.

The RMV Riding Park is home to world-class equestrian events, rodeos, music festivals, and concerts. The Riding Park is open to the public and visitors are welcome.

MUSIC: Two alternating stages of music with Donovan Frankenreiter, Nikki Lane, Early James, Robert Jon & The Wreck, Leroy From The North, Eric Roebuck, and Alice Wallace.

CRAFT BEER: Included with your ticket will be complimentary beer sampling from Docent Brewing and over 40 So. California Breweries (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.). Doors open at 12:00 p.m. for those who upgrade to the Early Entry or Docent Lounge ticket.

CAR SHOW: Back by popular demand, for 2024: the VW Bus Show, produced by Docent Brewing and the South County Bus Society. Browse through 80 classic Volkswagen buses as well as a handful of eclectic cars. Free with admission.

WHAT ELSE: Elevated Docent Lounge with added amenities, a large food stand from Heritage BBQ, selected food trucks and vendors, complimentary bike parking, and onsite festival parking.

GETTING HERE: Field Trip Fest encourages attendees to ride bikes, as the venue is connected to the San Juan Creek Trail, or purchase parking passes in advance.
